Could you tell me about you?
Pamela : My name is Pamela, I’m 22 years old, I live in Mexico City, I studied Fashion Design and now I’m studying Plastic and Visual Arts, I work for Nylon Japan. I love colors and my favorite thing to do is drawing.
自己紹介をお願いします。
Pamela : パメラです。メキシコシティ在住の22歳でファッションデザインとプラスチック、そしてビジュアルアーツを学びながらナイロンジャパンでイラストを描いています。色とイラストを描くのが好きです。
What brings you to work for THE SUZAN's CD and LP jacket?
Pamela : I remember the first time I listened to The Suzan, I felt surrounded by colours and magic, I’ve always loved their work, I think they’re such a unique band, fresh, happy, colourful and fun, just like my illustrations!! I think we are a great combination to work together cause we have a similar perspective.
スーザンのジャケットイラストを描くことになった経緯は？
Pamela : はじめてスーザンの音楽を聴いた時、カラフルな色の魔法にかかったような感覚になったわ。それからずっと彼女達の作品が好きよ。スーザンはとてもユニークなバンドだと思うわ。ハッピーで新鮮で、まさに私のイラストのようにね!! 私達は同じような感覚を共有してるから一緒に仕事をする上で最高の組み合わせだと思う。
Tell me about this collaboration and illustration.
Pamela : In this illustration I tried to show the atmosphere that The Suzan’s music transmits, an atmosphere full of colors, fun and happiness.
今回のイラストとコラボレーションについて聞かせてください。
Pamela : スーザンのカラフルで楽しくてハッピーな音楽性を表現する雰囲気を見せたかった。
You work for nylon japan and many magazines in the world. What do you think to work all over the world?
Pamela : Is really a dream come true, I love meeting different creatives around the world and work with them, is always amazing to try different perspectives to improve your work.
あなたはナイロンジャパンやアメリカの多くの雜誌でイラストを描いてますが、世界を股にかけて仕事することについてどう思う？
Pamela :まさに夢が叶っているわ。仕事を通して世界中のさまざまなクリエイティブなものと出会うことが大好きよ。毎回違うやり方に挑戦することで成長できるから素晴らしいと思うわ。
What's your future plan?
Pamela : I want to grow up as an artist, learn as much as I can and being able to live doing what I love the most.
今後のプランは？
Pamela : 好きなことをしていく中で多くのことを学び、吸収して、アーティストとしてもっと成長したいわ。
