New Friends from New Zealand.

Last week, we went to see STREET CHANT, a band from New Zealand.
We don't much chance to meet with the band from New Zealand though
this time, we had a nice story.
They found us The Suzan because they heard our song playing on the radio in New Zealand,
and came to see our stage at SXSW, and then invited us to their gig in NY!
What a curious coincidence, isn't it?

They have good impressive drumming.
Street Chant is Punk-band as we say, though, their drumming is free style, doesn't fit to that type.
And they changed the stage set on the way, which seemed really come with a twist.
I think the drummer taught himself drum though, his drumming skill is amazing,
and believe it's very important to pursue their own style.

ブルックリンにあるRock Shopへニュージーランド出身のバンド、STREET CHANTを観に行ったよ。
ニュージーランドのバンドと会う機会はないんだけどね。きっかけが面白い。
ニュージーランドでもTHE SUZANの曲が流れてて。
それで私達の事を知ったみたい。
SXSWでうちらを見て、NYでやるライブに招待してくれたのです。
不思議な縁だね。
 
ドラムが印象的なバンド。いわゆるパンクバンドなんだけど。
ドラムはその型にはまらない自由なリズム。
途中、セットを変えたり。工夫してたのが良かったし。
独学だと思うんだけど。それでもドラムの技術はすごかったね。
 
自分のスタイルを追求するのは大事だね。
